Our Pilots
Flying air charters since 1976, our pilots are among the most experienced in the United States. Our crews are veterans at flying into mountainous destinations like Sun Valley, Jackson Hole and McCall, and have completed extensive training with the industry's best Flight Safety International.  Our pilots have accumulated thousands of hours of flying time with adventurous clients, such as you.

Our pilots know the deep narrow canyons and mountainous terrain very intimately and can provide you with vast knowledge of the Idaho backcountry as well as a safe and scenic flight.

We serve snowed-in backcountry ranches and communities by delivering groceries and mail during the long Idaho winters, using ski-equipped aircraft. Our charter flights also are used more and more by winter sports enthusiasts for winter camping and enjoying wildlife via ski-plane, and for just "getting away."

Besides the recreational clients for white-water rafting, boating, camping, hunting, etc., McCall Air's pilots fly government and state charters for various purposes. Some include the U.S. Forest Service Aerial Fire Attack; recon and re-supply missions into the Idaho backcountry; Offices of Aircraft Services; the Idaho Fish & Game; Universities; the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (currently contracted with the Nez Perce Tribe of Idaho) for the Gray Wolf monitoring flights since their release into Idaho in 1995.

As you can see, our pilots are very diverse in what they do. Most of our flying is done from outside pickup points in and out of the Idaho backcountry including but not limited to the Frank Church Wilderness and the Selway Bitterroot country of north-central Idaho.
